Mummiboo wooden clogs come from Holland but Lancashire clogs were made of leather uppers and had steel plates on the toes and heels. Hence the line sparking clogs.

Gangster Of Love - Johnny Guitar Watson...you're probably saying "Never heard of it." (Cashman and Al Gilmartin excepted), but you have, because it's the soundtrack for the new Lynx Click commercial.

Nothing's sacred, anymore, Wyn. Just been listening to Doris Troy, Just one look & What'cha gonna do about it. Great backing singer as well on Rolling Stones, You can't always get what you want & Dusty Springfields, Middle of nowhere. Sadly passed away Feb 2004.

No, it's not Al, but I think the use of classic tracks for commercials has one good point - if just one person somewhere likes it enough to get into Johnny's music or even quality Rhythm & Blues/soul generally, then its use has not been in vain.
PS - Doris Troy - great artist, great choice!

Playing a 50's rhythm & blues saxophone compilation very, very loudly in the office at the moment (came in early as I couldn't sleep after last night). It's cheering me up...a little bit.
