A very hard decision to make between Podge Peter Murphy, and Kevin Mac,I will go for Mr dependable Kevin.

It's great that the choice is not easy.
Murphy's certainly a much improved player - let's hope he makes CB his position. Almond is one, if not the, most tireless of forwards. Dunbavin is no longer just a penalty saver. Devitt has real potential to be a match winner. McIntyre is steady and reliable.
But, despite his relatively late arrival and recent injury, it has to be Hughes for me as the player who's made the most impact on the pitch.

I agree with all this and also make Hughes my first choice, a classy player.

Re: AccyWeb Player of the Season

Hughes is a great choice.

Its only due to the fact he has played 17 games he didnt get my vote.

Re: AccyWeb Player of the Season

For me, Dean Winnard. He has been solid when I've seen him, I think he's a good reason why our defence has lost a bit of that " solidity " since he's been injured and I think he'll go on to a bigger club than Stanley.

Glad he's got another twelve months on his contract, but I sincerely hope that the powers that be at Stanley extend that contract by another couple of years. I think we are still to see the best of "Deano".

And I wouldn't put it past an ex-manager of ours to come sniffing around Deano. He could see class at this level and Deano has it in abundance, along with potential. Injury free....I can only see this lad getting better !!!!

For the attention of Illyas.....Get Deano on a long term (for me a three year deal ). At least if he gets picked up ...at least the club get's recompensed at a fair level !!!

And for those who think I might be getting a bit carried away.....I also saw Tom Lees and said after a couple of games that he could go a long way....Tom Lees will turn out to be too good for Leeds if they carry on stagnating in the Championship...don't be surprised if he ends up playing in the Premier League before too long!!!!

Oh...and sorry..runner up......Padraig Amond !!!! Only hope we can get "Podge" signed up on a permanent next season !!!!
