Paul Beck Back

Just for one day , I am sure he will get a fantastic reception for he is a true Stanley legend. So many happy victory pints after his winning goals

whatever happened to bernie hughes?

His 300th and final appearance was as a goalkeeper after Rob Mulloys wife inconsiderately went into labour an hour before the game. I'll never forget him trying to claim a corner for Chorley when he reckoned to have tipped a Brian Ross thunderbolt over the bar!

some say that his 'tache outgrew him and he is now an area of natural wilderness protected by National Heritage.

If you mean the bigger one of the three little lads at the beginning Macca I'd have said yes at first but counting back shakers age, I'm not sure as I think he would have been 5 at most in tha season and that kid looked older than that!

Definately not Macca, unfortunately we weren't at the game as my lovely mother chose that date to get married & we had to follow it on the radio (the game - not the wedding)
