It's hard to judge anyone or anything on the strength of one pre-season game, but that's the job that Paul and Leam have to do.
I can see some of the trialists getting another chance, but equally I can see some getting told "thanks but no thanks" - purely because contracted players need game time and there can't be too much time spent looking at trialists.
The other thing to consider is that Bootle have only been back in training for just over a week so Stanley's superior fitness meant that the second half wasn't much of a contest.
Credit to Bootle though, it was close in the first half when Stanley's team was very unfamiliar!
