Accrington Girls and Ladies FC are planning for the new season with a restructure of their 2 adult teams. Last season their established ladies Team continued their membership of the Lancashire League Division 1 finishingn a very creditable 4th.

The Open Age team comprising of many players who had been with the club since it's formation in 2002 also finished 4th in the 2nd Division quite an achievement considering they were playing against clubs who had formal connections with professional clubs.

For the coming season both teams will play in the same divisions however following intensve trials we have gone for a mixture of youth and experience to give the first team the best opportunity to progress up the Womens football pyramid.

Both squads will have squads of 17/18 players which is a remarkable testament to the work of the club having 2 adult teams for a town the size of Accrington
