This is a big worry for me. I just cannot see any shape at all. Too often yesterday, three players were within a few yards of each other in midfield. Is this supposed to be the Barcelona shape? It works for them but I cannot see it working for us. I wouldn't criticise Barnett orSheppard. Charlie is wasted on the wing. On several occasions, Sheppard was telling defenders/midfielders where to put the ball for his run but the through ball he wanted just never came. Afterthought - why didn't Toto and Murphy swap forwards being marked when Toto was clearly being wound up?

The real positive for me was the understanding between Michael Liddle and Aidan Chippendale. We have a natural left back and a natural left winger. The situation on the right is very different where our right back is not a natural and we have no right winger.

Despite the problems which were apparent yesterday, I think it was a good performance against a much better team. I would say we were outclassed but not outplayed.
