The question I have is do people let cats out on their own but not dogs purely out of social ettiquette? Also because both species behave differently; the cat generally hides or sits out of the way of traffic and potential human threats, were as the dog stays in the street and is more likely to get hit by a car or run away form the owners property and not come back?
