I would quite happily give up tv. When Grego and I were in our early 20's we bought a house together in order to get a foot on the property ladder. We lived quite happily without tv for several months because we didn't have any extra money to pay for a tv or license. We had a stereo and plenty of books and were quite happy with that at the time. I do have a tv now, but I don't watch it that often. Partly because there is rarely anything decent to watch and partly because I have better things to do..
