What's 'Better' please, by your definition? you think it's 'better' to work more, for less money in a job I probably won't like?Correct me if I am wrong but that appears to be what you are saying.
I work 20 hours a week (that includes all travel) for a wage more than most people earn in 40 hours.
I have two degrees, one being a Master's.I got a first in both. My job is an informed decision. How many people can say they love their jobs?I truly can. I provide a service that is still in demand.
As for the dole, I feel strongly about the amount of people spending *your* money, (assuming you have a job) rather than earning their way-I will never sponge off the government, there are enough people doing that. That you would do it if you were me, well, if my aunt had balls she'd be my uncle.
Also there is no need for apologies hun-there are about 5 people in this world whose opinions I value. You may take a guess as to whether or not you are one of them

As for your sneering description of Accrington as a "backwater place" I think that perfectly illustrates your own innate snobbery.

Thank you for the support.

Have you actually seen her at work, to enable you to make such a vehement attack, or are you getting all your information from CSI Miami and Rev Kev weekly?
It's pompous and self righteous of you to attempt to impose your view of what constitutes self respect and how someone should earn a living. From the outset she has fronted up and told everyone what she does. To date she has come across as intelligent, self effacing and has not done a bad job at fitting in on this viper ridden forum.
All she is doing is the 21'st century version of Pan's People/Hot Gossip, and frankly she probably covers more of her body than most of the girls walking around town on an average friday night.

Thanks, I appreciate it !

I feel quite humbled by all this-I've only been on here a week or something!

anyone working in (for the want of a better phrase) "the legal sex trade", porn, sex shop, erotic dancing, sex lines, i am sure they have heard the moral argument a thousand times, and it has to come with the territory, and you accept it or change job, you are never going to change peoples minds on this one.

Yes, well I've been a dancer on and off for ten years. Not much I haven't heard. If she doesn't like it, then I don't recall asking her to come and pay for a dance from me

If you don't like it, don't go. Simple as.
PS - Sugarmouse, they don't by any chance do senior citizens' rates, do they? Just asking for a friend.

Thank you-it's okay, this business does nothing if not wonders for growing a thick skin. If she wants to abuse me because it makes her feel better then bring it on

although, Anne, it seems you've rattled people a bit. Perhaps private abuse would have been the better thing to do.
Wynonie as you've been so supportive, tell your 'friend' to come see me, I will give them a couple minutes extra
Thanks again everyone
