Ok you have a little orange box that says firefox?
Click that. Press options then options/advanced/Network/Clear now
Soz about that. ubuntu is still on an older version of FF
Also under General in options make sure in homepage it says
www.google.co.uk or .com if you prefer. And there is a choice what happens when firefox starts
