A lot of it isn't the shops fault, its what the suppliers give them. I know that my shop has been stuck with the current situation on the new PS2 console because Sony have decided to play silly beggars with supplying the stupid thing so that they can hype it up.
Common sense isn't a concept that is familiar to the powers that be.
