Yeah ... I've been reading about that match fixing scandal ... it makes one angry to think that such a beautiful game as Medieaval warfare has become so tainted. I mean, the strategy, the melee, and of course the rout, pursuit, the slaughter of the vanquished and the wounded ... not to mention the mayhem wreaked on the peasants ... amazing stuff.
But there is probably big bucks to be made in betting on it. Some games are probably on the level; that wonderful contest at Towton was probably clean. But that international with the French at Azincourt ... something fishy there
I think that Jean Le Maingre was paid to throw the game.
