Yep - if it's only 15 months old, it's unlikely to be the backup battery that's expired after all - unless it's been switched off for the entire time.

I thought that, but I've been corrected recently. You
do not lose your rights when a retailer goes out of business. Responsibility for your statutory rights passes back to the manufacturer.
