At the head of that gorge is a waterfall, when it has rained heavily overnight can be a good photo opportunity.
Also if you go left you walk through the quarry with its walls, paths and spoil piles from when it was worked, and coming down off the quarry by the main road down the old firing range is off to the left. Check out my Hapton quarry photos on my flickr page to give you some idea of what you can find.
