Today I did the Church & Ossy Rotary Sponsored Walk and then went to Altham Parish Council Civic Service. If you're on Facebook I now have a "Mayor of Hyndburn" page.

This thread reminded me that I was once a Mayor

Mayor of the thriving community of Meyronne, Saskatchewan.
When I was Mayor back in, oh, around '74, it was much bigger ... 95 souls.

Originally a thriving pioneer community, it is now a little rough around the edges,

another victim of progress and centralization in a Province booming with wheat, oil, potash, and uranium. I still love Saskatchewan, Land of the Living Skies.
