Promotion for Accrington Girls and Ladies FC
It's been a memorable year for Accrington Girls and Ladies FC.
The club started it's 10 Anniversary season being awarded the Lancashire Community Club of the Year 2012, a fantastic achievement for a small club but reflecting the major work that the club undertakes in promoting girls and Ladies football in the community. The club had previously won the Hyndburn Community Club of the Year 5 times in it's short history.
The season ended in fantastic style with the announcement at the presentation night that as joint champions of the Lancashire League Division 1 we are to be promoted to the North West Football League.
The Team has only been together for one season following the decision to restructure our 2 teams to have a first team and a development squad
The foundations for the club to advance to the next level are now in place from our youngest girls aged 6, through our Junior Teams at under 11 and under 13 and our 2 ladies teams.
