If the other side said it was day - he would say it was night. Just to be perverse.

If he were still in power as the leader.....he would probably be doing the same things....and justifying it in exactly the same way.
He seems to think that this is the best way to run local politics.......by opposing the group in power like the parliamentary opposittion do.
Wouldn't it be good if all sides of local politics could work for the benefit of the community at large....and stop the childish bickering and falling out? So much more could be achieved if they didn't dissipate time and energy in this way......but I won't hold my breath waiting for it to happen.
