Canning St was correct. It has gone now - bulldozed to make way for the Richmond Street Industrial Estate. There were about 30 houses in it in 1951 but no shops. The numbers only went up to26 and 31. Have a look at the 1891 census and also the (Blackburn) Barretts Directories in the mid-late 1800s. All pop bottlers should be listed.
