Yesterday evening a visit to Preston with John o Gaunt Morris men from Lancaster to meet up with the Royal Preston team. The venue was the Continental pub down by the river and the railway bridge at Avenham park. This establishment has suffered a bit over the years but is now a popular watering hole. When I was a student in Preston in the sixties it was one of my haunts as we lived just round the corner.

Looks like it was a good evening out Sue. Nice selection of instruments and beards -I think the man with the trombone wins for the longest beard. Didn't realise the man with the panama hat could play the accordian

Would the trombone count as something with a hole for the competition? I thought the same about that interesting slate wall you posted recently too! (Big hint!)
