To be fair, some productions follow folk around.
One place I worked used plenty of acid baths. We were given free milk to keep it off our stomachs, would have showers before leaving, fresh work clothes daily, everything including us still stank.
When out and about in town you could smell a fellow worker on hot days before he came around a corner.
It was in your pores.
