Pretty scary though-in my experience despite their bad press wasps don't tend to just decide to sting unless something has wound them up, intentionally or otherwise!

I used to be TERRIFIED of wasps when I was younger. Up until a few years ago actually. I'm not keen on them even now but I'd never harm one and the only time I have ever been stang was in my sleep at a festival not so long ago. Had this swelling on the back of my neck and at the first aid tent was told it was a wasp sting. Suppose it may not have been.

I love bees-even as a kid I used to watch them and try to touch them and stuff but for some reason wasps, not a chance I'd not run away from them!
The dogs were looking for their ball, I think it may have been them that disturbed a nest. Don`t remember ever being stung before, the vinegar seems to have eased some of them, lower back is sore and got stung three times around my arm pit, that smarts a bit.
