It seems like united Utilities are rather 'slap happy' with their billing.
I moved into this flat on 22nd July and when my son attempted to identify which water meter was mine (by running tap and looking which meter recorded it) it was discovered that the wrong meter has been used for billing purposes. This has been confirmed and corrected by their engineer's visit today.
Few of these flats are occupied by 'singles' like me - most are couples, many with young families. So if my son hadn't identified this billing error I would likely be paying the bill of a family of four!
