I knew warts were the HPV virus (funny how I saw a car number plate with those letters today !) But yes I took what you said to mean an infection caused in the surrounding skin when you faff about with them. I have never had a wart, but I have caused myself infections from fiddling about with scabs/other blemishes-It's a bad habit!

I didn't realise warts had 'roots'! So warts are literally rooted into your skin, a fair way down?Until your body combats the virus ?(If it ever does I suppose)!

I used to like dealing with belly button 'stones' too....though they could be smelly when you got right down to the bottom.

I don't think I want to know what a belly button stone is. Unless you mean a jewel in a piercing...No, I definitely don't!
