Blackburn VS Burnley and A Colonopsy.

Pre warning. Long "winded" thread.

That is a weird thread title you might be thinking as you click it to see what the hell I am on about. Well. Today I had the Colonopsy and they said it was normal(good news at least). Just got to wait for the biopsy results.

Has anyone had this procedure? If so. Am I supposed to have much pain afterwards. Been back 3 hours now and stomach is a bit tender. Well. I have had a camera inserted inside my...and into my.... Well. I guess there should be some pain.

What do you think of the NHS on a whole?

Can you feel that is turning into a rant thread? It is.

For quite some time; Docs trying to figure out what is wrong with me going faint and stuff. I was waiting 2nHalf months to see a neurologist. 1 month in I had a MRI done and they said " today we will be doing your neck" Weird I thought...

So. Later I finally made my way to Preston only to be told "I can't figure out why you are here" "To see neurologist" I said. "no, no. I am neurosurgeon".

Turned out it was a clerical error and all that wait- MRI etc was for nothing. Back to docs I go; yet again. Told doc that I had also been having problems going loose, at least once or twice per week for quite some time. Rearranged for me(this was august) was to see neurologist again and to go for a Colonopsy.

Nothing is explained. I still haven't received the neurologist appointment and I found myself in Burnley for what I was told would be an Endoscopy. Nope. It was just the finger and lets arrange a further date for Colonopsy(today)

So. What has this got to do with a football match.

I read the leaflet and it says you can have Gas & Air or Sedation. Sedation requires that you have someone pick you up and look after you for 24 hours. My house mate(friend of 30 years) wouldn't do this because " Blackburn VS Burnley is more important"

At the previous appointment- Why I thought I could just turn up and have the camera job. I don't know. Had to take a day of work yesterday and take some nasty stuff called Picolax. Nice day off work? Nope. This stuff is scarier than the Friday the 13th movies. You mix it with cold water and the stuff goes hot as hell. Felt like
I was in the science class.

So Today I got the bus and opted for Gas & Air. Nope. Turned out "only if I feel pain or extreme discomfort" So I had no sedation at all. It wasn't as bad as I had thought and I watched the monitor WHICH WAS THE STRANGEST THING I HAVE EVER WATCHED

Just before I am wheeled in I sign a disclaimer and the Doc tells me "1 in 1500 people have severe complications"

And guess what?

Either Blackburn or Burnley scored a goal right at the point of insertion.

Why do I know this?

Because the doctors had the radio on during the procedure. Wait a minute. Isn't this a potentially dangerous procedure. Oh well.
