It may be a day to day procedure to the docs but to the patient it is a nerve wracking experience. I had a chuckle about them listening to the radio but in reality its no laughing matter. I've had colitis for the last 8 years and have had these procedures and I don't think I'd do it without anaesthesia cos I think it I'm a bit of a coward. I don't think you should be in much pain either other than the air they put in you when they're looking with the camera. Hope you feel better soon.
