Obviously, playing the team closest to us in the table brought back the (unfounded
) optimism - 29 going for a win, only 4 for a shock home victory and 7 perched precariously on the fence. PMIG (for the third time in 7 goes - unheard of) and C'mon Stanley getting it spot-on for 5 points, Stevie R taking 4 and Val (after a late change to head from heart) just 3.
Taking the positives
we scored for the first time in yonks and I got a bonus point as a result
PMIG has an 8 point lead over Val at the top of the table (27 plays 19). Accybeme and F19 are 3 points further back, and Teach 2 behind them. Well over half of us have 4 or less, including 15 of the faithful who have played every week.
