One day eight or nine people appeared in my cubicle: consultants, registrars, specialist nurse, and two younger people, male and female, who were either junior doctors or final year students. They stood next to each other against the wall and I uncovered my bottom so everyone could have a good look.

I noticed that the young woman had her head on her neighbour's shoulder and thought How sweet, they must be an item. Then I realised she had fainted. Somehow they managed to get her out of the ward via the door at the other end and I saw her lying in the corridor with her legs in the air.

A couple of weeks later her colleague came to see me and I asked him if she was OK. He said yes, but he didn't know her before that encounter, but they had since been out for a few drinks together.

Awww... isn't that sweet?
