1. Calf Hey Reservoir on a wet day, with low cloud. The remains of buildings you see date back to the rein of Elizabeth 1st.It was a cluster of farms, with looms, shippons, and barns. This is the remains of Hartley House, next to Lower Ormerods and East Cottages. If you look at the trees in the distance you can see them appear to be making clouds, it didn't last long.
2. Top side of the reservoirs.
3. Signs of previous occupations litter the site.
4. There is always going to be a fungi bit if possible.
5. And wet bits are never far away, remember, you have to be in it, to wet it.
6. Under that bridge is a fairy, I know as I was just under there.
7. One of the many streams with settlement ponds that feed the reservoirs.
8. For this one I am down in the wet grass, hands up if you have seen a purple one before.
9. Another stream with settlement ponds before it enters the reservoir.
10.The harsh environment on the heights shapes the trees.
Beautiful shots, davemac. The ruins, the trees, wet bits and purple mushies - all a feast for the eyes!
