Our Feds are refusing to go along with the Iran deal, which is nothing more than an opportunity for the Obama administration to look good, and to avoid a conflict they know they can't win. The major European powers lined up to kiss US ass on this one; but the government of Canada is standing by its ally, Israel, in demanding that more than comforting words come from Tehran. Essentially, the Iranians are offering promises to be good in return for real concessions (anything measured in billions of dollars is real) from the West.

Of course, commentators in the West are critical of Israel's hard line stance, conveniently forgetting that as recently as a few months ago Iran's foreign policy was centered on wiping Israel off the face of the earth.

However, it will be a cold day in hell before I ever vote tory.
