Actually yes that's true, I've made that mistake too misjudging how daft people are!
I checked the vid card, and yes It's a USB keyboard.

It was my dog that caused this issue... It was knocked over when she, for some unknown reason, decided to suddenly dart under the desk. She's never been interested in the desk before, I have no idea why she did this and then I heard this crash...
I was about to make her into a rather nice rug
