I remember that ... now that was HOT

It sure sharpened up the old clog irons ... remember cutting myself badly one time ... problem is that it wore out the clog irons real quick; and in those tough times new irons were quite a drain on the old family budget ... the punishment I got for wearing them out too quickly was to have rubber ones put on. Oh, the shame of it, the embarassment

I can't remember the name of the clogger who made mine ... he had his shop on Barnes St., up on the left hand side towards the Square, near the chemist's shop ... Even though I can't remember the name, I can remember how it looked, and the smell of the wood and the leather.
