Last year the bluebells were that late it was almost summer by the time they were out, and even then they didn't flower all at the same time, so they went of for a while, but without the impact of large swathes of flowers.
The ground here is saturated, and large areas I walk in are covered in mud and water, we have had a sink hole in Baxenden to the rear of houses (only know what is in the papers) and I think that is a result of all this rain. It was over old mine workings.
