From what I've read about Scottish Independence, it seems as if pro-independence Scots really want something similar to what the Part-Quebecois wants for La Belle Province: All the benefits of independence, but with none of the drawbacks. And, as far as I can see, it is not up to Scotland to define "independence"; it is up to the dominant partner in the UK ... and that would be England. Cameron should get on his hind legs in parliament and say "If you vote for independence this is how it will be. You have a right to vote "yes" for an independent Scotland, but no right to vote on the kind of independence you want."
