For ice fishing, jigs are good for just about anything: lake trout, walleye, perch, whitefish ... But perch do have a fondness for minnows. Depending on the size, I eat the fish. And it's not really a blood sport ... although I have to admit that it's a fun thing to do, I don't really see it as "sport" ... if it is a sport then I would fail the drug tests

I enjoy eating fish. And if it ends up on my plate, it has to be killed. I don't "harvest" fish; many I catch right back into the water.
