One good turn deserves a smack in the mouth.
Paying for my shopping at the supermarket I inserted my card into the machine, however due to some confusion the assistant neglected to authorise my card payment, and started to serve the next person. Had I been so disposed I could simply have taken my card out of the machine and left the shop, however, I believe what you do today you have to live with tomorrow, so I pointed out the error and my payment was then re-authorised and £47 was deducted from my debit card.
To digress slightly my wife has mobility problems and has been issued with a blue badge for me to use when she is in the car with me, and she was, so we were parked in the disabled section with my blue badge displayed prominently.
Now here is the crux of this epistle, as we returned to the car some scrota had "had it away" with my wheel trims, and it crossed my mind that had I not been honest the £47 would have replaced my trims, but as this would not sit comfortably with me, would never have happened.
So I was doing the right thing, some person was steeling from a disabled persons car in a disabled bay. I will sleep comfortably tonight, I hope however the the tea leaf wets the bed.
