Yes ... but if the bench doesn't look safe, you don't have to park your ass on it. That's common sense ... and it works for me. Health and safety regs in the workplace make sense. But we should consider, and maybe C'mon would agree with this, that, originally, such rules were necessary to force tight-fisted and greedy employers to provide a safe working environment. But it seems to have gotten out of control.
Oh for the days when I worked at Duttons ... beer allowance in the a.m. and p.m., and a couple of pints at lunch time ... come four of the clock I was usually three parts in the bag.
In the malt storage where I worked, three men drew a beer allowance for twelve ... God love the union
