My dear old dad was a radio ham...our front room was his favourite place, it was full of his radio gear......he had cards from other radio hams pinned all over the chimney breast with their call signs on.
He used to sit up until the wee small hours talking to people all over the world.
I wish I could remember his call sign....but I can't.
I wonder if Ma kept any of the contact cards.
