But it happened on the Labour watch...they had the power and the ability to stop it or at least show they were listening to the electorate.
they didn't listen...and any dissenters were branded as xenophobic or racist.
These terms are purely to stop any reasoned debate.
There was no debate, there was no concultation........uncontrolled immigration was seen not as a way of increasing the working population to make more money, but as a way of increasing the Labour party voting base.
It was a cynical ploy to make sure that Labour stayed in political power.
It has damaged the fabric of this country irreparably.
