That's the opposite from Islam,where, even when the mother is a non muslim, the children automatically are. The children belong to the father. That's the reason, when a child is snatched from its mother and taken abroad to its fathers muslim country, it becomes an almost impossible task to get them back. The father is looked upon as taking what is his in the first place.
