The girl with the pony was a fortunate coincidence -I waited till the right moment to cover up the sign when she came up the road as you said! I always think it's a shame when old places are spoiled by modern road-signs, cars, electric wires etc. Downham is nice for that as there are none of the modern electrical things on show to spoil the village.
