I have seen the display in the paper of the ceramic poppies being placed in the moat...one for every member of the armed forces who have died in conflicts.
This display will not be compleed until Armistice Day. It is a wonderful sight and one I wish I could go and see at the Tower of London.
Eventually these poppies will be sold for charities that help servicemen and women.

I do not know if any of my male relatives were involved in the first world war, but I get a wave of sadness every time I see, hear, or read something about this conflict.

If I get down town tonight I am going to need a box of matches to keep my candle alight......I am sure to be a weeping wreck.
