Devices like this rely on the scammer/marketer withholding their phone number. This means that the ones that show a number - and it's not necessarily a real one - will get through. Also, legitimate organisations with badly configured internal exchanges will be "caught" by this device. For example, I know the hospital comes through as "Number unavailable".

My Galaxy S4 lasts three days. I only use it for calls and texts, emails, photos and a bit of internet browsing. I've got wifi turned off unless I do a dropbox upload and don't do facebook or twitter. Biggest battery drain on most phones is the screen.
