Re: Yeovil Promotion
Given the restrictions on reducing the price of the Yeovil match this is probably the best thing the club can do. Obviously the apparent benefits to season ticket holders or flexi ticket holders do not apply since it is likely they will already be covered for getting in but it is a benefit for everyone else. Plus how often have we heard that I have a pal, brother, sister, friend, dogs' friends walkers' brothers' cousin who won't go because it's £20 to get in. Well now is the chance for them to do it for £15.
In the run up to Christmas it's a chance to see a game against the current league leaders for only £15 or free for kids. It doesn't help me any as I will be using my flexiticket but I don't care because it helps Stanley and if anyone is short of a discount voucher they can have mine.
For those who think it's a bad idea, come up with a better one. For those who think it's a good idea, bring a pal, relative, stranger, guy/gal you've met in the pub or anyone for the Wycombe game and the yeovil game too if you can.
Yeovil is a must win game because it's at home, it's against a relegation threatend team and it's the chance to meet a big club in the third round. Imagine what it could do for the club to get an away draw at Man Utd, Liverpool, Everton, Arsenal or Newcastle with their large following or one of the other clubs with a large support. It could set us up in the same way as the cup run in 2003/04.
So lets get as many as we can to the Crown, OK storefirst, on Saturday and cheer us to a win then use the discount two weeks later to do the same against the league leaders.
