Another part of the reality is that we could and should have won last night. I do agree with the positivity, f19, (and I did say in my comments that there were "lots of positives") but ....
How many of those 10 goals in 5 games have been crafted by Crooks? I agree that he has a presence, but so does Nelson's Column. The only difference is that one moves and the other doesn't. There is little to choose between them in football ability. It is not just a question of the ball not going in the net. He cannot win headers even against defenders not as tall as he is; he cannot trap and control the ball; he cannot pass to a team mate; and he is far too easily outmuscled, especially for a player of his size. Why on earth did our management team persist with him for 90 minutes last night?
