Maguire to my eye looks like another Almond. A willing and eager lad who'll run around all day and will take the odd chance but who will not make the difference between mid-table and play-offs. If, as you hope, we keep him for the rest of the season I'm sure it will make West Ham very happy; they get a season's worth of games for
their player.
Meanwhile contracted players sit on their backsides on the bench with little or no chance of improving.
