I don't think they want independence ... more like what the Parti Quebecois and the Bloc refer to as sovereignty association/Souverainete Association. Which they just about have now ... more benefits than the rest of the country (paid for by the rest of the country), and no responsibilities. Not a bad deal.
The only major differences between the Scottish Independents and the Pequistes is that the French have better food, sexier women, and are easier to understand. Oh ... and les Canadiennes de Montreal.
