This isn't an ordinary business though, the players will have had some idea if they want to stay or go, it's how it works. Doesn't take them a week to decide if a bigger club comes in with an offer
A week at Stanley usually means any time later, so it may not actually have been 7 days in the normal sense of the word 'week'
