This is what happens when you become an established league club, the novelty wears off. To be fair the Carling Cup doesn't get people as excited as the FA Cup, but in reality it's probably a better chance for lower league clubs to get further because the bigger clubs play their reserves.
A 1200 gate in the Carling Cup is probably a big gate in the 1st round, but in all seriousness I do get where you're coming from
