For those of us who like to take pictures and post them, this could have an impact.
There is a current petition that will let those in the European Parliament know what we think of their restrictions.
If you think this legislation will be bad for photographers and photography then you might want to sign it.
here is a link to the petition.

I support the right to photograph anything in the public domain and have signed the petition. But this goes against my rights in law, I have a right to take photographs of any subject in a public place, and is visible from such, whenever I like. The only deviation to that as I can see is the terrorism act, if it is thought that I am photographing for nefarious purposes then the police can ask to view my pictures.
This also opens up a whole can of worms, do all the cameras used by the police have a right to photograph or video myself if I state that I don't want it, do Google have the right to photograph my house and stick it on a world wide database. A slippery slope.
