You did indeed walk in the footsteps of myself, however I did deviate after getting to the bridge, just opposite that life-raft on the footpath side there is a style built into the wall, I followed this wondering where the piggin heck I was, it came out eventually behind that orange structure. They appear to be putting a pipeline in. Incidentally as I was walking the path there was a large bird, eagle like in colour and flight with a wingspan roughly about the size of my arms outstretched, couldn't get a close up look as every time I got close it sort of dropped off the branch it was sat on and glided/flew away again.
